Pomona

Nadine was for some years my favourite model - more than a model, my muse. She was only 17 the first time we worked together and in this series she is a mere 18. The project was designed in collaboration with sculptor Giorgio Bevignani and my wife Lucia.
Voltumna is the Etruscan divinity of mutation and change, he also represents autumn (which derives from Voltumna) and friutfulness. He can mutate into any form. Voltumna was the patron of Velzna, modern Orvieto. He tricked Pomona the goddess of fruit trees into marriage, transformed as a crone: no doubt Volumna - Pomona are two sides of the same coin.
