Lux

Nadine was for some years my favourite model - more than a model, my muse. She was only 17 the first time we worked together and in this series she is a mere 18. The project was designed in collaboration with Giorgio Bevignani and my wife - whose very name, Lucia, stems from lux, lucis - light.

All the shots in the series were done in the studio except the leafy tree which we had to do outside in a garden centre. Nadine is wearing rubber boots under the kimono and standing on a pile of bricks. “Candeline” was the most difficult of the series for Nadine as she had to cope with molten wax dripping all over her. A beautiful woman and an exceptional person.
